This article reviews the experience of Technical Teleschool, an Argentine educational institution under the National Council of Technical Education’s (CONET) structure. Technical Teleschool developed its training activities in national TV between 1963 and 1988. It is an exploratory investigation from a cultural perspective based on the review of the chapters that resisted the almost non- existent politics of television archives for much of the 20th century, the approach of the national and specialized press, and interviews with teleteachers. Among the main findings are the impulse of UNESCO through its organic intellectuals, the school teachers’ resistances and the oficial and pedagogical strategies to overcome them, the technological fascination that aroused in the developmentalism discourse and the lack of interestgenerated by the project in the deindustrializing policy of the last civic-military dictatorship. In addition, it recovers the emission categories defined by CONET and investigates its regime of visibility.
