Abstract

The drama of presumptuousness of nobility by Lope de Vega is a group of plays used by the members of the nobiliary estate in order to show their condition under specific proposals; the dramatist also used them to expose his knowledge about Spanish lineages and History, and about his compositional capability. According his dramatic model in evolution advances, it is possible to observe a gradual manipulation of the previous documentary information in the treatment of historical matters of base, which is subsidiary to the particular aims of composition of each piece.
