Abstract

ARCE, Rafael. Autobiographical act and policy of intimacy in the last novel by Antonio Di Benedetto. CELEHIS [online]. 2017, n.34, pp.1-10. ISSN 2313-9463.

This paper proposes a reading of the last novel by Argentine Antonio Di Benedetto: Sombras, nada más..., published shortly before his death. It is a story that is mixed in the experimental exercise, the autobiography and the Argentinian political history.  The work supports the hypothesis that Sombras, nada más... gives tension to his heterogeneous materials and procedures around some that can be called a policy of privacy: a splinter subject initiates a process of self-criticism and self-analysis and highlights the overlaps between subjective desire, social imaginary and political history.  The novel processes a traumatic episode in Argentina's history and the personal history of the writer, and it makes them confluent in an oneiric fiction that, between nightmare and dream, condenses the subjective and social.

Keywords : Autobiography - Intimate writing - Subjectivity - Surrealism - Realism.
