The aim of this paper is to explore and to analyze the set of formal, referential and theoretical elements that makes up Alan Pauls's narrative in order to understand the statute to setback of his literature. My hypothesis is that Alan Pauls's narrative, by making the subversive force of the anachronism his creative impulse, is established as a form of the contemporary operating critically as anachronistic response to the crisis of the historicist conception of the time.
