This essay will read visual and literary texts that tell about the different types of attacks on women bodies. It will consider the relationship between the emergence of different aesthetic forms of representation and the more general context of critical and political reflection on femicides. It focuses on the figure of the face and its paradoxical functioning of exhibition and mask. The movement faces adopt oscillates between the singular and the collective forms. In their capacity to disseminate and to come into contact and connection, the texts tell us about the present as exteriority and contingency in response to the regime of precarity in neoliberalism goverments.
