In this work we wish to describe the construction of the Quebrada de Humahuaca (Jujuy, Argentina) as a tourist destination throughout the twentieth century and today. This will draw on various sources but mainly for image analysis in official brochures and mass media and tourism promotion publications that promoted this area and highlighted the various attractions that are identified as relevant at all times. This specification will lead to the reconstruction period after the Declaration as a World Heritage Site of the Quebrada de Humahuaca by UNESCO in order to contrast the above with expressions on tourism and the Declaration by various social actors involved with the Quebrada de Humahuaca to distinguish continuities and ruptures of conflicts and social problems.
