Abstract
RIELLA, Alberto and ROMERO, Juan. Continuidades y rupturas en la estructura agraria en el Uruguay del siglo XXI. Pampa [online]. 2014, n.10, pp.159-171. ISSN 2314-0208.
This past decade has been characterized by a breakdown in the process of dynamic stagnation that characterized the national agrarian structure since the mid-'70s, consolidating a process of growth from the dynamics of the sectors mainly agricultural exporters, constant capital deepening via technology (biotechnology, genetics, fertilizers, etc.), greater integration into the world market, the emergence of new transnational actors, rural wage growth, ultimately deepening capitalist social relations of production in rural society Uruguayan beginning of this century. The data presented are the result of the analysis of secondary sources: Agricultural Census, Statistical Yearbooks MGAP, Population and Housing Census and Household Survey. The results indicate that the set of rules and policies implemented by the two administrations of progressist governments have failed to reverse any of the factors that are causing the concentration of land in the country.
