Abstract

Through images territorial certain narratives of the past are expressed. The article seek to analyze the spatial symbolic forms that revolve around the shields of the Territory of Central Pampas, then in the province of La Pampa, as well as eight municipal shields pampeano midwest. Thus it is intended to explore the temporal-spatial context they were built, which express the territorial images embodied in the arms of La Pampa, what elements make visible and which are hidden and, finally, what links exist between spatial symbolic forms, power relations and the construction of collective memory. The Pampas shields carry certain representations created by the state around spaces that allude.
