Argentina. Pampa [online]. 2017, n.15, pp.107-129. ISSN 2314-0208.
The processes of the recent capitalist restructuring have territorial effects that are not exclusive of large metropolitan areas, these processes are also affecting small urban spaces. This applies to the resorts of the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the speed of changes and transformations are accelerated forming unstable territories, that is to say, geographic settings in which continuous changes are a result of implantation of neoliberalism and the new trends that tourism assumes in this context. The aim is to analyze the processes of territorial transformations and its consequences in Monte Hermoso. Subsequent field work was conducted and reconstruction techniques were applied spatial periods for the development of cross-mapping of urban transformations mentioned. Research results show that changes favor to certain areas of urban space, that are destined to tourism, creating a fragmentation of space in relation to sectors that do not seem to respond to capitalism logics.
