We will try to give some outlines about Caracas at the end of the colonial period; focusing on the Mora Núñez family that we judge to represent the values of the society at the time. The court proceedings in which they were involved between 1777 and 1807 have been the main source of information. This research has been possible thanks to the different piles of consultation in the Archivo General de Indias of Seville.
