In this article are analyzed the parliamentary debates that led to the approval of the law of national colonization of 1940 with the support of conservatives, radicals, anti-personalist radicals and socialists. In particular, the discursividades and the dynamics of the parliamentary interaction are studied. In this way, it is described how a very important consensus around the sanction of this law of colonization was constructed, and also it is analyzed the discursive positions from where some critics were formulated to the project.
