The purpose of this work is to analyze the spread of agricultural knowledge in the productive areas of the south east area of the National Territory of la Pampa in the decade of the twenties. The emphasis is put in the role of specialized publications, either from the state or private. The aim is to examine the spread of agricultural knowledge done by experts, but at the same time the empiric spread from farmers, in a context in which cereal agriculture was the main economical activity in the region. This perspective will allow the learning of the process of acquisition of knowledge and technology from agriculturers, the bibliography they looked up, the socializing of their essays, the interest in the spread of results and the establishment of innovative nodes en the production of cereal and fruits. Reduction of levels of analysis enables the possibility of showing images of pampas farmland that were unnoticed until this time. The interesting part of the proposal is that farmers involved in this experience had little resources and lived in a geographic area which was in the periphery of humid pampas. In this way, we will try to explain the creation process, the spread and incorporation of scientific knowledge in the area, having in mind achievements and limitations.
