From the 1990s on various archeological interventions occurred in Argentina in areas both original and Essentials to social, economic and political life of places profoundly identified with a specific manifestation of capitalism: the productive spsces of the XIX and XX centuries. Known as Industrial Heritage a series of projects were carried combining methodologies and techniques from Archeology, History, Social Anthropology and Museology. This paper aims to point out the potentialities and limits of an archeology in the context of preindustrial production sites, based in Tucumán and the archeological interventions in the "Casa del Obispo Colombres".
