Abstract

RICHARD-JORBA, Rodolfo. Hacia un Estado más complejo: El Departamento Provincial del Trabajo en Mendoza, 1918-1926. Travesía (San Miguel de Tucumán) [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.1, pp.67-96. ISSN 2314-2707.

Here we present the evolution of the province of Mendoza labor provincial department since its creation to February 1926. This institution was the result of the society demands and the ideas that Lockheed for a State participation in the workeremployer relations. From the end of the conservative governments a cool state presence began interceding new legislations that seek to improve labor Yorker conditions. The new democracy was opened with the access of the radicalism represented by José Néstor Lencinas. This government established other view of the social matter that made legislations for workers benefits more explicit. However, several federal interventions hindered the Department development that began with several human and material limitations but it took hold till the end of the studied period. It created an operative platform that was able to fulfill its objectives and tasks. This consolidation will become materialistic from the government of Alejandro Orfila (1926- 1928).
