This paper analyzes the Report that Dr. Lope Diez de Armendáriz sent to King Felipe II, on his visit and residence to the Audiencia de Charcas in the year 1576. It seeks to problematize the social relations of the Headquarters of Indian courts between the main neighbours and the judges of the jurisdiction. The model iudex perfectus, that portrayed an impartial judge, kept away from all social and political contact, was questioned based on reports that the visitors sent to Madrid, as was demonstrated by the Relación de Diez de Armendáris that we analyze in this paper.
