In this article, the distribution area of Dioscorea glandulosa (Dioscoreaceae] to Jujuy and Salta provinces, species known so far only for the provinces of Chaco and Misiones, is expands. A detailed description, a key to differentiating it from the related species, maps, illustrations and photographs, are presented.
