Different criteria were adopted for the reconstruction of the city. On one hand, some techniques were re-adapted. On the other hand, it was established by decree the implementation of old pre-columbian techniques. The mentioned earthquake is showed as the starting point of this article to present a bibliographic review about the constructive earthen techniques in the peruvian territory, which can be considered and applied nowadays in the constructive earthen culture.
