In this paper we analyze the factory ‘occupation’ in may 1970 and the process of radicalization of the workers in the IKA-Renault‘s Perdriel matrix plant in Córdoba, that led them to become in one of the first and main expressions of the Córdoba‘s clasismo, beside the workers of the Fiat Concord and Materfer plants. We emphasize the repertoires of contention used, the crisis of the peronista vandorista union leader Elpidio Torres, the emergence of a new leadership of the left clasista groups, and some political and ideological changes in workers. We conclude that this conflict, against the bureaucracy, the employer and the dictatorship, was an expression of some changes in consciousness and strategies in this fraction of working class, in a context of class struggle exacerbation.
