On the last twenty years in Argentina, metal mining has been going through a broad process of restructuring that is affecting some of its classical parameters, associated with the work and production organization. The purpose of this article is to show the structuring of a mining labor market as one of the effects of this process and its geographic scope. The analysis considers the occupation in Argentine metal mining, the relation between it and the specific labor market and characteristics of demand and recruitment of paid workers. Through a triangulation of quantitative and qualitative methods, it is trying to reconstruct a vision with perspective that allows understanding the geographic scope of this market in constant training.
