The present paper aims to address the labor dynamics and labor conflict of a particular actor within the regional labor movement of Gran La Plata between 1969 and 1972: workers in the public sector (in particular the workers of the UNLP). We will make a contribution that makes it possible to visualize the role of workers not linked to the private sector of the economy, who, like those, were involved in the process of social protest and political radicalization experienced in Argentine society. Also, this group is especially relevant because it is an important sector in the dynamics of labor conflict in the region, along with other groups of public sector workers. Through a quantitative and qualitative analysis, elaborated from newspaper sources, we will focus on the dynamics presented by the labor conflict, the internal organization of the trade unions studied (ATULP y SOEME), the union dynamics and alignments and the modalities with which both the State and the university authorities intervened in them.
