Erratum to "Some aspects of the history of applied mathematics in Argentina", Vol. 49-1, No. 1, 2008, Pag. 57-69

I want to correct a mistake I made in my article "Some aspects of the history of applied mathematics in Argentina" published in the last issue of the Revista de la Unión Matemática Argentina (Vol. 49, No. 1, 2008, pages 57-69). In page 66 I wrote that Prof. Zadunaisky was, to the best of my knowledge, the first Argentinean citizen who used the computer in his scientific research. In fact, I was wrong. In the last weeks I have had some (electronic) correspondence with Dr. Simón Altmann, an Argentinean physicist who finished his Ph. D. in King's College, London (and now lives in Oxford), with regard to his participation in selecting the first university computer in Argentina, and I confirmed that he used the computer in his scientific research some years before Zadunaisky.
