In this number we have collected texts that deal with Argentine and Colombian literature. Those who deal with Argentine literature, one of them deals with the work of Rodolfo Walsh and the problems that are generated around the reception due to the tension between novel and testimony. This study highlights the prejudices of the literary institution, since that tension led to a relativization of the aesthetic values of the narrative of Walsh, while the testimonial work was rescued. The second work deals with leading authors / directors / actors and proposes the notion of cohort instead of generation for the study of artists and their production. It focuses on the problem of realism within an experimental context.

With respect to Colombian literature, the authors studied are Héctor Abad Faciolince and Fernando Vallejo through two works El olvido que seremos (2006) and La Virgen de los sicarios (1994), respectively. In the first case, the author carries out a review of concepts present in the writing of Faciolince: memory, autobiography, autofiction. This purpose serves as a basis for working on issues of memory, such as the individual and the collective. It introduces an interesting and perhaps overcoming concept, which is “public memory”. In the case of Vallejo, the study deals with the relation literature-cinema, since the novel of Vallejo was taken to the cinema by Barbet Schroeder. He investigates Vallejo’s particular and provocative visions of violence, death, and animals.
