The journal focuses on research studies within the field of biological anthropology, including human evolution and variation, adaptation, genetics, growth and development, forensic anthropology, morphology, experimental anthropology, and primatology. It also includes social anthropology, archaeology, evolutionary psychology, human geography, demography, ecology, epidemiology, museology, conservation, history and philosophy of science, medicine, among other subjects only when explicitly related with biological anthropology.
