Ciencia del Suelo is the scientific journal of the Asociación Argentina de Ciencia del Suelo (Argentine Association of Soil Science). It is an international journal that publishes original scientific papers in the fields of Soil Science, Environment and Plant Nutrition. It promotes, in a special way though not exclusively, research studies which lead to a better understanding of the soils of Argentina and of Latin America.
Ciencia del Suelo accepts manuscripts connected with: Chemistry, Physics and Biology of soils, the handling of land and waters; genesis, classification, mineralogy and taxonomy of soils: fertility of soils and plant nutrition: contamination of soils and of the environment; soil science education.
Articles can be:
(1) Papers: Connected with scientific, theoretical, experimental or field research, which represent a significant advancement in the knowledge about soils;
(2) Scientific notes: Papers of less importance, which represent a significant advancement in knowledge or in the development of a methodology;
(3) Revisions or updates: they summarize the current status of the knowledge about a given topic;
(4) Miscellaneous: This section introduces theoretical points of view, advancements in methodology or in education, which are backed up or supported by updated technical and bibliographical elements. It also includes tailor-made papers on specific topics developed by highly-renown scientific guests.
Articles are reviewed by peers, by a minimum of two referees. The refereeing process is confidential except one of the referees preferred it otherwise. Ciencia del Suelo reserves the right to publish, suggest modifications or even refuse an article.

Frequency: six-monthly (2 issues/year).

The title is abbreviated as Cienc. suelo (en línea), and this must be used in bibliographies, footnotes, legends and bibliographical references.
