History and track record of CICLOS

CICLOS en la historia, la economía y la sociedad has been published uninterruptedly since 1991. It is carried out within the framework of the activities of the CIHESRI-IDEHESI, the Master of Economic History and Economic Policies, based at the School of Economic Sciences of the UBA. This academic journal brings together works of research by Argentine and foreign authors from different social sciences, with reference to contemporary issues and with a historical perspective. In its pages historical and current problems of the Argentine and world reality are debated, trying to stimulate the broadest debate of ideas, being open to all intellectual and academic currents, with the only selective criterion of the relevance of the subject and the rigor in the analysis. Each issue includes thematic sections that contain articles on a common problem and, usually, others dedicated to international, Latin American and / or regional studies, notes and communications, ideas and debates, essays and bibliographic reviews. CICLOS reaches universities and study centers in Argentina, Europe, the United States, Asia and Latin America; and has exchange with more than 130 academic publications from all over the world. CICLOS is part of the Basic Core of Journals of the CAICYT, made up of the set of scientific and technological publications published in Argentina that have the highest editorial and content quality, that have evaluation mechanisms in accordance with international criteria, with a wide circulation and with the recognition of the scientific community in its area.
