Basic Information

 

Revista Veterinaria (Rev. Vet.) is the official publication of the School of Veterinary Science from the Northeastern National University. Its focus is on the diffusion of up-to-date scientific research results regarding Veterinary Science.
Revista Veterinaria (Rev. Vet.) publishes original articles, communications and reviews regarding production, sport and companion animals as well as wildlife and laboratory species. Rev. Vet. accepts original contributions from Argentinean and foreign authors in research areas including morphology, physiology, nutrition, pathology, semiology, pharmacology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, epidemiology, bromatology, surgery, genetics, animal production and public health. Articles are published in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Manuscripts are peer reviewed before publication.  Printed and on line formats of Rev. Vet. are available twice a year. Spanish is the official language but articles in Portuguese, French and English are also welcome. The editorial politics of Revista Veterinaria is to maintain the highest scientific pattern through the presence of collaborators of high technical level. Prior to acceptance papers are reviewed by experts and a publication fee must be submitted.
Rev. Vet. accepts the “open access” publication model.

It starts as Veterinaria in 1962. Then this publication changes to Revista Veterinaria and enters Latindex in 2005, Núcleo Básico in 2014 and Scielo in 2015.

Financial support is in part from Northeastern National University and the School of Veterinary Science as well as author’s article publication fees.

Revista Veterinaria (Rev. Vet.) maintains a commitment to the policies of Open Access to scientific information, as it considers that both scientific publications as well as research investigations funded by public resources should circulate freely without restrictions.

Revista Veterinaria (Rev. Vet.) ratifies the Open Access model in which scientific publications are made freely available at no cost online, with no time embargos and with no publication costs transferred to the authors. This policy seeks to break the economic barriers that have created inequalities in the access to both information and the ability to publish investigation results.
